CHICAGO — A man is suing Manorcare Health Services-Kankakee and affiliated entities, Heartland Employment Services LLC, Citadel Care Center - Kankakee and Damen Healthcare Group LLC for alleged negligence.
Scott Themer, independent administrator of the estate of Helen Heck, filed a complaint on Oct. 20 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to prevent Heck from developing pressure ulcers on her left leg, allegedly caused by a leg brace.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Susan Novosad and Megan M. Shore of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
