CHICAGO — A woman is suing G.E. Aviation Systems LLC, the Boeing Company and American Airlines for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.
Emily Schnoll filed a complaint on Dec. 1 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she sustained physical injuries when the aircraft she was on suffered an engine failure while taking off at O'Hare International Airport in October 2016. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly manufacture their product, which allegedly caused the engine to fail and burst into flames.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by attorney Tracy E. Stevenson in Chicago.
