CHICAGO — A woman is suing Evergreen Living and Rehabilitation Center LLC for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.
Dawgelene Sangster, independent executor of the estate of Mattye M. Monroe, filed a complaint on Dec. 14 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Monroe developed a skin breakdown and sepsis before her death while in the defendants' care. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to adequately supervise and assist Monroe.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Robert J. Rooth of The Rooth Law Firm in Evanston.
