ManorCare at Oak Lawn East allegedly failed to properly treat infected surgical wound

CHICAGO — A woman is suing ManorCare at Oak Lawn East for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Mary McLaurin filed a complaint on Dec. 20 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she experienced pain that allegedly was caused by an infected surgical wound, malnutrition and dehydration. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to treat her surgical wound and infection.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Katherine M. Moorhouse of Taxman, Pollock, Murray & Bekkerman in Chicago.
