CHICAGO — A man is suing St. James Health and Wellness Institute and St. James Health and Wellness Institute for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.
Joel H. Eckhardt filed a complaint on Dec. 20 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging he sustained severe injuries on May 17, 2016, when he allegedly passed out and fell onto a hot metal grate in a sauna. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to warn him about the heat source found inside the sauna.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Richard F. Burke Jr. of Clifford Law Offices P.C. in Chicago.
