North Shore Gas, Pan-Oceanic Engineering sued by man whose car fell in hole on E. 83rd, Chicago

CHICAGO — A man is suing North Shore Gas Company and Pan-Oceanic Engineering Co. Inc. for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Ernest Daggs filed a complaint on Dec. 21 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants removed street pavement and left a hole on East 83rd Street in Chicago , into which his vehicle fell on Oct. 26, which allegedly caused him to suffer undisclosed physical injuries. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to adequately warn him about the hole they allegedly had left in the road.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by John P. Kolb of Disparti Law Group P.C. in Chicago.
