Poppie's Dough of Illinois allegedly retaliated against worker who allegedly refused to forge safety records

CHICAGO — A man is suing Poppie's Dough of Illinois Inc. for alleged retaliation.

Jonathan Paddock filed a complaint on Dec. 21 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendant terminated his employment for refusing to engage in illegal activities.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he was terminated from employment when he refused to forge health and safety inspection documents related to an inspection of the defendant's machinery.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant, reinstatement, back pay with interest, compensation for all other damages, compensatory damages and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by David B. Levin of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman P.C. in Chicago.
