CHICAGO — A woman is suing Samsung Electronics America Inc. for alleged liability, negligence and product liability.
Sherry Aulakh filed a complaint on Dec. 28 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants manufactured and sold a defective smart phone.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she sustained serious physical injuries, including burns to her face, cheek and ear, when she held the phone up to her ear on Feb. 1, 2016. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to warn her about the alleged defective nature of the Galaxy 6 Edge phone while it was charging.
