Village Home Maintenance, others allegedly failed to properly repair home

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Homestar Residential Services, Steven P. Depaepe and unknown owners of Village Home Maintenance for alleged breach of contract, fraud and violation of state and federal laws.

Heather Vanosdall filed a complaint on Dec. 26 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to complete the work they were allegedly paid to do to her home.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to properly repair her house in a satisfactory manner, including the roofing, gutters and retractable screen doors.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for punitive damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Sean P. Patrick and Thomas E. Soule of Rifkind Patrick LLC in Chicago.
