A Cook County jury has found in favor of an Arlington Heights dentist, who had been accused of failing to properly perform a patient’s total mouth restoration.

Plaintiff Roumyana Boneva had filed suit in May 2016 against Cvetn Mechev DDS and his practice, Arlington Heights Dental, alleging negligence.

Boneva specifically alleged she suffered permanent injuries and became liable for large sums of money because Mechev had allegedly failed to properly perform procedures on her in December 2010.

Following a trial in December 2017, however, a jury in Cook County Circuit Court found Mechev not liable. A Cook County judge then granted Mechev his costs associated with the lawsuit, according to a judgment issued Dec. 12.

Boneva was represented in the action by the firm of O’Connor & Nakos Ltd., of Chicago.

Mechev was represented by the firm of Judge & James, of Park Ridge.
