CHICAGO — An individual is suing Viad Corp., doing business as GES, GES Exposition Services Inc. and/or Global Experience Specialist for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Mark Harris filed a complaint on Jan. 18 in the Cook County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants failed to provide a reasonably safe working environment for him.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he sustained serious physical injuries when a forklift struck a basket he was in. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly allowing their employee to drive a forklift in reverse without keeping a proper look out.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Kevin T. Yen of Strom & Associates Ltd. in Chicago.
