Lou Malnati's Pizzeria, employee sued by man claiming he was struck by vehicle while walking

CHICAGO — A man is suing Lou Malnati's Pizzeria and an employee, alleging he was struck by the employee's vehicle while crossing the street.

Howard Pearl filed a complaint on Jan. 20 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the employee failed to properly control his vehicle, causing it to hit him while he was crossing the street on Jan. 29, 2017, causing severe injuries.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Todd A. Smith and Brian LaCien of Power Rogers & Smith LLP in Chicago.
