CHICAGO — A woman is suing La Bomba Food Restaurant Inc. and BCM21 Inc. for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Jazmine Juarez filed a complaint on Jan. 25 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she sustained injuries on Feb. 17, 2016, when the chair she sat on at the restaurant allegedly broke apart, causing her to fall to the ground. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to warn her about the defective nature of the chairs inside their establishment.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount sufficient to satisfy the jurisdictional limits of this court, plus court costs. She is represented by Jeffrey S. Jordan of O'Connor & Nakos Ltd. in Chicago.
