Broadway Electric Inc., others allegedly failed to prevent man from being exposed to raw sewage

CHICAGO — A man is suing Broadway Electric Inc. and Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Justin Dobes filed a complaint on Feb. 2 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants allowed raw sewage to be released on the premises where he was working.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he was exposed to fumes and bioaerosols on Feb. 15, 2017, which allegedly caused serious physical injuries. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly allowing the plaintiff to work in hazardous conditions without providing proper masks and safety equipment.
