City of Chicago accused of wrongly revoking zoning approval

CHICAGO — A company is suing the city of Chicago for allegedly revoking its zoning approval for a single-family home.

Irony LLC filed a complaint on Jan. 31 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the city improperly refused to change its decision to revoke the plaintiff's zoning approval for a parcel of land in the 6800 block of West Thorndale Avenue.

The plaintiff seeks declare that the defendant has condemned and taken a parcel of land, an award for the fair market value of that parcel, court costs and any further relief this court grants. The plaintiff is represented by Stephen H. Malato of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in Chicago.
