Glenwood Healthcare sued for wrongful death, failing to prevent patient's pressure sores

CHICAGO — A man is suing Glenwood Healthcare & Rehab Center; Certified Health Management Inc.; Saint James Hospital and Health Centers, Chicago Heights; Windmill Nursing Pavilion Ltd.; and Dynamic Healthcare Inc. for wrongful death and allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Jeffrey Bryson, independent administrator of the estate of Essie Lee Bryson, filed a complaint on Feb. 14 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Essie Lee Bryson developed pressure sores, which allegedly contributed to the deterioration of her health. 

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Susan Novosad and Michael L. Shanahan of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
