Aperion Care Burbank sued for patient's fall, wrongful death

CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing Aperion Care Burbank for wrongful death and allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Earnestine Greene, independent administrator of the estate of Wilma Roberts, filed a complaint on Feb. 12 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Roberts suffered a fall and developed pressure ulcers, which allegedly contributed to the deterioration of her health. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to adequately supervise Roberts to address her risk of falling.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 and court costs. She is represented by Marc S. Weissman of The Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
