71st Street Apartments allegedly failed to prevent mold growth

CHICAGO — A parent is suing Alex Loyfman, who does business as 71st Street Apartments, for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Jasmine Abdullah, mother of three children, filed a complaint on Feb. 22 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she and her children sustained physical injuries as a result of mold that had allegedly formed on the ceiling of their apartment. 

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Corey A. Benjamin of Benjamin and Shapiro Ltd in Chicago.
