Archer Foot and Ankle Clinic, doctor allegedly failed to treat foot infection, requiring amputation

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Dr. Thomas Buividas and Archer Foot and Ankle Clinic for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Teresa Silvas filed a complaint on Feb. 22 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she suffered a foot infection in February 2016 that required amputation. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly diagnose her condition before applying the necessary treatment.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Philip J. Fowler of Karlin, Fleisher & Falkenberg LLC in Chicago.
