CHICAGO — A mother is suing Dr. Jessica Chiang, Dr. John Howard and Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Advocate Children's Medical Group and Advocate Children's Hospital for her infant daughter's alleged wrongful death and for alleged malpractice.
Megan Bunimovich filed a complaint on March 1 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging her daughter died because the defendants allegedly failed to respond quickly to signs of septic shock and timely administer antibiotic to treat an underlying bacterial infection.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court. She is represented by Elizabeth A. Kaveny of Wise Morrissey Kaveny LLC in Chicago.
