CHICAGO — A woman is suing Dr. Robert Welch and DuPage Medical Group Ltd. for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.
Aliya Rizvi filed a complaint on a Feb. 28 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she sustained physical injuries as a result of a surgical procedure to repair a broken bone in her hand. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly perform the procedure on her.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Emilio E. Machado of Rubin, Machado & Rosenblum Ltd in Chicago.
