Advocate South Suburban Hospital, others allegedly failed to provide proper medical care

CHICAGO — A man is suing Advocate South Suburban Hospital, Dr. Shahla Zaidi and Symphony of Crestwood LLC for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Willie Smith filed a complaint on March 1 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging he developed a skin breakdown after he was admitted to the hospital complaining about swelling in his right leg. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to adequately supervise and assist him to prevent him from developing decubitus ulcers.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by John R. Gorey of Gorey Law Group P.C. in Chicago.
