Weil Foot and Ankle Institute, doctors allegedly failed to provide proper medical care

Medical malpractice 01

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Weil Foot and Ankle Institute, Dr. Jeffrey R. Baker and Dr. Ruben Nieto for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Amy Tzur filed a complaint on Feb. 28 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she sustained serious physical injuries as a result of the Kidner procedure that was allegedly performed on her. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly inverting her foot during the procedure and improperly dissecting her posterior tibial tendon.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court to fairly compensate her for her loss. She is represented by Jennifer K. Scifo and Michael S. Shinsky of Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz in Chicago.
