Ulta Beauty Inc. accused of selling old, used products to consumers

CHICAGO — A woman has filed a class action lawsuit against Ulta Beauty Inc. for alleged breach of contract and deceptive marketing.

Paula M. Ogurkiewicz filed a complaint on March 7 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendant sells old products to consumers.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she purchased several cosmetic products that she believed to be new but allegedly turned out to be old, dried out or previously used. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly continuing to surreptitiously resell used and expired beauty products to consumers.
