Loyola University Medical Center, others allegedly failed to properly place IV fluids

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Loyola University Physician Foundation, Loyola University Health System, Loyola University Medical Center and Dr. Agnes Libot for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Renee Reyes filed a complaint on March 12 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she sustained injuries due to the incorrect placement of IV fluids. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly place IVs and injections in her and for allegedly failing to timely recognize that she had suffered a nerve injury.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by John J. MacInerney of Hofeld and Schaffner in Chicago.
