CHICAGO — A man is suing Mayfield Healthcare & Rehabilitation Centre and Loretto Hospital for wrongful death and malpractice.
Billy Ratliff, independent administrator of the estate of Johnny Ratliff, filed a complaint on March 12 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Johnny Ratliff duffered a fall and developed hyperglycemia and a skin breakdown. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to adequately supervise and assist Johnny Ratliff to address his risk of falling and preven pressure ulcers from worsening.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Marc Weissman of The Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
