Northwestern Memorial Hospital allegedly failed to provide proper medical care

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Northwestern Memorial Hospital for wrongful death and allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Eileen Gavin, special administrator of the estate of Vincent J. Gavin Jr., filed a complaint on March 14 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Vincent Gavin suffered cardiac arrest outside of the hospital. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to timely identify intracranial bleeding on Gavin's CT results. 

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Joseph W. Balesteri of Power Rogers & Smith LLP in Chicago.
