Manorcare Health Services-Hinsdale allegedly failed to prevent individual from falling

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Manorcare Health Services-Hinsdale, Heartland Employment Services LLC and a nurse for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent her relative's injuries.

Patricia Garner, attorney in fact for Ernestine Garner, filed a complaint on March 16 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Ernestine Garner suffered a fall, which allegedly caused serious and disabling injuries that contributed to the deterioration of her health. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to adequately assist Garner to address her risk of falling.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Susan L. Novosad of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
