CHICAGO — Two people are suing Riot Hospitality Group LLC, which does business as El Hefe Chicago, for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.
Juan Martinez and Sonia Nieves filed a complaint on March 19 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging they sustained physical injuries on Oct. 8 when they allegedly were attacked while at El Hefe Bar. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate security.
The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Trapp & Geller in Chicago.
