CHICAGO — A woman has filed a class action lawsuit against BBVA Compass for alleged invasion of privacy and violation of telephone harassment statutes.
Lara Bellissimo filed a complaint on March 20 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she received several collection calls on her mobile phone from the defendant, allegedly using a pre-recorded or artificial voice to call her to remind her of her debt.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages, an injunction, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Evan M. Meyers and Eugene Y. Turin of McGuire Law P.C. in Chicago.
