Advocate Lutheran General Hospital allegedly failed to provide proper medical care

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Advocate Lutheran General Hospital for wrongful death allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Carina H. Santa Maria, independent administrator of the estate of Armin Homann, filed a complaint on March 26 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Homann suffered serious injuries when an aortic aneurysm allegedly ruptured, leading to his death. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to timely diagnose Homann's condition in order to prevent the rupture.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Jordan S. Powell of Powell Law Offices in Chicago and Matthew A. Pasen of Passen Law Group in Chicago.
