CHICAGO — A couple is suing Kyra S.G. Payne and the Law Office of Kyra Payne for alleged breach of duty.

James O'Neal and Dawn O'Neal filed a complaint on April 2 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to properly inform and advise them about a loan they allegedly were giving to Prologue, a nonprofit organization.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they were damaged financially as a result of the interest-free loan they allegedly provided Prologue. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible for allegedly devising a scheme in which Prologue allegedly would receive an additional $1.5 million.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages, actual damages, general and special damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Matthew Riley of Vitruvian Law LLC in Chicago.
