By Noddy A. Fernandez | Apr 16, 2018

CHICAGO — A man is suing MetroSouth Medical Center for wrongful death and alleged breach of duty and negligence.

Keith D. Cheatham, independent administrator of the estate of William Cheatham, filed a complaint on April 12 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging William Cheatham suffered a fall on April 13, 2016, which allegedly resulted in him needing to undergo emergency hip surgery to treat an acute dislocation and fracture of his right hip. The plaintiff alleges the injuries caused his overall health to decline until he died on April 17, 2016.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to operate and provide services in compliance with all applicable professional standards.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment of greater than $50,000. He is represented by Katherine M. Moorhouse of Taxman, Pollock, Murray & Bekkerman in Chicago.
