Warren Barr Gold Coast, others allegedly failed to prevent patient from falling multiple times

Medical malpractice 05

CHICAGO — A  woman is suing several health care providers, citing alleged breach of duty and medical negligence.

Carolyn Edwards, independent executor of the estate of Cora Philpotts, filed a complaint on April 12 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Warren Barr Gold Coast, Chalet Living and Rehab and Legacy Healthcare Financial Services LLC, alleging Philpotts was admitted to the defendants' facility on Sept. 5, 2014, where she allegedly suffered numerous falls, which allegedly caused her to sustain injuries.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to provide Philpotts with the care and services she needed to maintain the highest possible level of physical, mental and psychological well-being.
