CHICAGO — An unidentified man is suing Province of Our Mother of Good Counsel of the Augustinian Order and Providence Catholic High School for alleged sexual abuse.

The plaintiff filed a complaint on April 12 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging he was sexually abused multiple times as a teenager by a priest on property owned, operated and controlled by the defendants.

As a result of the alleged incidents, the plaintiff claims he continues to suffer psychological, emotional and pecuniary harm.

The plaintiff claims that the defendants failed to put sufficient policies and procedures in place to prevent child sex abuse.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limit of the court and any other relief the court deems just and equitable. He is represented by Marc J. Pearlman of Frost Pearlman LLC in Bannockburn and Jeffrey R. Anderson of Jeff Anderson & Associates PA in St. Paul, Minn.
