CHICAGO — A U.S. Postal Service employee is suing Kurt W. Kreis, Roger C. Kreis Sr. and unknown owners for allegedly failing to prevent their dog from attacking her.

Antoinette Beal filed a complaint on April 18 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to maintain control of their animal.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she was on the defendants' premises to deliver mail when the defendants' dog allegedly began to bark and ran toward the front of the premises, leaped through a screen door and attacked her, causing her to sustain serious and permanent injuries.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Leo M. Bleiman, in Chicago.
