CHICAGO — A woman is suing Chi-Tung Restaurant Inc. for alleged negligence.

Beverly Porter filed a complaint on May 24 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendant failed to properly label and identify foods that contained seafood, which the plaintiff allegedly is allergic to. As a result of the alleged negligence of the defendant's staff, the plaintiff claims she suffered personal injuries and emotional anguish. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to warn her about of the presence or cross contamination of food allergens.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits, plus the costs of the suit. She is represented by Karen C. Lee of Seidman Margulis & Fairman LLP in Chicago.
