Northwestern Memorial Hospital allegedly failed to properly close a perforation in man's colon

CHICAGO — A couple is suing Northwestern Memorial Hospital and several other medical providers for alleged loss of consortium and negligence.

Richard and Margaret Turasky filed a complaint on May 18 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to properly close a perforation in Richard Turasky's colon. As a result, Turasky claims  he suffered injuries, and Margaret Turasky claims that she lost the consortium, society, companionship and affection of her husband. 

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendants for damages in an amount that exceeds $50,000. They are represented by Keith A. Hebeisen and Sarah F. King of Clifford Law Offices PC in Chicago.
