CHICAGO — A woman is suing SCR Medical Transport Inc. and Salvador Garcia, alleging the defendants' negligence led to injuries.
Lucila Garcia, individually and as a parent of a minor daughter, filed a complaint May 30 in Cook County Circuit Court, claiming she and her daughter were riding in a medical transport vehicle owned and operated by SCR on Dec. 6, 2016, when they were in a collision with defendant Salvador Garcia's 2000 Toyota Corolla. During the incident, the plaintiff alleges defendant Salvador Garcia was exiting an alley or parking lot when he struck the medical transport vehicle.
As a result, Lucila Garcia claims she and her daughter suffered injuries and were transported via Chicago Fire Department ambulance to St. Anthony's Hospital.

The plaintiff said she holds SCR Medical Transport and Salvador Garcia responsible because they allegedly failed to decrease their speed and swerve to avoid the collision and failed to keep a proper lookout ahead.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment for damages greater than $30,000, as well as the cost of bringing the suit and any other relief the court may order that is just and equitable. They are represented by Anthony J. Peraica of Anthony J. Peraica & Associates, Ltd. in Chicago.
