Cassiday Schade issued the following announcement on June 12.
Jean M. Golden, a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, has been selected for an Illinois associate judgeship in Cook County. Golden was one of 17 associate judges selected.
At Cassiday Schade, Golden serves as co-chair of the firm’s Insurance Practice Group and was a long time member of the Executive Committee. Golden focuses her practice on complex, high-exposure insurance coverage and commercial law matters in multiple jurisdictions.
Golden has been profiled by Leading Lawyers Magazine as one of the " Top Women Lawyers in Illinois,” and by Law Bulletin Publishing Company in its "2012 Women in Law” feature. She has been awarded several industry accolades, including: Leading Lawyers Network, 2004-2018; Super Lawyers, 2007-2018 and Best Lawyers 2016-2018; Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating, AV Preeminent.
Golden is involved in and has held leadership positions with several professional organizations, including the Lawyers Trust Fund of Illinois and the Chicago Bar Association. She is a Fellow of the American Bar Association, a Life Fellow of the Chicago Bar Foundation, and a former member of the Board of the Federal Bar Association.
Golden received her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago, and her B.A. from Boston College, where she graduated magna cum laude.
