CHICAGO — A Mount Prospect woman is suing Target Corp. and an unnamed Target employee, citing alleged negligence.

Bella Barcham filed a complaint June 19 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed ito exercise reasonable care when moving a row of shopping carts to ensure the safety of people going in and out of the store.

According to the complaint, Barcham was allegedly struck by a row of shopping carts while entering a Target store on Jan. 3, 2017.

As a result, Barcham claims she sustained severe and permanent injuries and incurred substantial medical and therapy-related expenses.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks a judgment for damages greater than $50,000. She is represented by Erron Fisher of Fisher & Lamonica PC in Chicago.
