CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing Warren Barr South Loop, citing alleged negligent supervision.

Cecelia Glinsey, as administrator of the estate of the late Jesse Glinsey, filed a complaint June 6 in Cook County Circuit Court against Warren Barr South Loop and related entities, alleging the defendants violated the Nursing Home Care Act.

According to the complaint, Jesse Glinsey resided at the defendants' long-term care facility from May 21, 2016, until he died on Sept. 29, 2016. The plaintiff claims that while a resident at the facility, Glinsey suffered from the development and deterioration of multiple pressures sores.

Cecilia Glinsey alleges Jesse Glinsey did not receive adequate medical and personal care, nor did the defendants allocate sufficient resources to provide appropriate rehabilitative care, supervision and medical supplies in compliance with the regulations set by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks a judgment greater than $50,000. She is represented by Michael Shanahan and Nicholas Emerson of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
