Estate administrator accuses Bria of River Oaks of negligence

Medical malpractice 05

CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing Bria of River Oaks, citing alleged negligence.

Lori Spallina filed a complaint June 19 in Cook County Circuit Court on behalf of the estate of the late Mike Elibasich, alleging before Elibasich's death on Dec. 24, 2017, he suffered pain, disability, disfigurement and aggravation of a pre-existing condition and incurred medical expenses as a result of the alleged negligence of the defendant in caring for, treating and monitoring him.

The plaintiff said the defendant allegedly failed to implement a care plan based on a comprehensive assessment and failed to accurately train and supervise its nursing staff and aides.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks a judgment against defendant greater than $50,000. She is represented by Kelly Sabo Gaden of Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates PC in Chicago.
