International Star Registry, Rocky Mosele accuse Burhop of contract breach, defamation

Contract 10

CHICAGO — Two companies are suing Burhop Box Packaging Inc. and Robert Windstorm for alleged breach of contract and defamation.

International Star Registry of Illinois, Rocky's Beverage Inc., and Peter "Rocky" Mosele filed a complaint June 27 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants breached an agreement by failing to maintain printing plates and refusing to refund the plaintiffs' money.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs signed a contract with the defendants in February 2014 to create printing plates for novelty items and printing services.

Despite agreeing to maintain the plates, Burhop Box and Packaging allegedly destroyed Rocky's Beverages' plates and refused to refund the purchase price. In addition, the defendants allegedly disputed an unpaid bill and contacted other suppliers telling them not to do business with the plaintiffs and Rocky Mosele.

The plaintiffs claim the defendants refused to refund $4,920 for the Rocky's Beverage plates.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek a judgment greater than $50,000, plus costs. They are represented by Gregory Kulis of Gregory E. Kulis and Associates Ltd. in Chicago.
