Visitor claims he fell in Presence St. Joseph entryway

Slip01

CHICAGO — A man is suing Hammes Partners, doing business as Hammes Realty Advisors LLC, Presence St. Joseph Hospital and Presence Center for Advanced Care, claiming insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries on the defendants' property.

James Moore filed a complaint July 2 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Moore was walking into the defendants' facility on July 2, 2016, when he allegedly got his foot caught and tripped on metal grated decorative entryway, causing him to fall and sustain severe injuries.

Moore claims the defendants knew or should have known visitors would be walking on the grated entryway.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks a judgment in an amount in excess of the jurisdictional limit, plus costs. He is represented by Naderh Elrabadi of Elrabadi Law in Chicago.
