CHICAGO — A pedestrian has filed a lawsuit against the Village of La Grange, citing alleged premises liability and negligence.
Joan Winkler filed a complaint July 6 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the village left a sidewalk in a dangerous and defective condition.
According to the complaint, Winkler was walking on a sidewalk in the village on April 26 when she fell because of a raised slab and height differential, resulting in injuries.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an amount in excess of the jurisdictional minimum of the court, plus costs and interest. She is represented by Daniel Biederman Jr. of Leonard Law Group LLC in Chicago.
