CHICAGO — A patient is suing MCHS South Holland, Manorcare of South Holland, Manor Care of South Holland IL LLC and Manorcare Health Services-South Holland, citing alleged negligence and violation of the Nursing Home Care Act.

Debra Moore filed a complaint July 18 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Moore was admitted to the defendants' nursing home on Aug. 4, 2016, and started to develop sacral/coccyx pressure ulcers that deteriorated to painful and advance stages. The plaintiff said she continues to experience extreme pain and suffering as a result of the alleged negligence of the defendants in monitoring, diagnosing, caring for and treating her.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks a judgment in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Christopher Cromydas of Hurley McKenna & Mertz PC in Chicago.
