CHICAGO – A R.J. Grunts customer alleges she developed food poisoning after eating at the restaurant in 2016.

Anne Swock filed a complaint on July 19 in Cook County Circuit Court against Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges, on July 31, 2016, she ordered a burger at the defendant's R.J. Grunts restaurant at 2056 North Lincoln Park West, Chicago.

She alleges she suffered from food poisoning caused by E. coli bacteria as a result of the consumption of undercooked ground beef that was negligently prepared by employees.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant for a sum in excess of the jurisdictional minimum of the law. She is represented by Michael K. Muldoon of Muldoon & Muldoon LLC in Chicago.
