Dykema, a leading national law firm, today announced the addition of Scott R. Fryzel to its Financial Industry Group as a Member in the firm’s Chicago office. Fryzel joins Dykema after practicing at Chapman and Cutler in Chicago for more than 13 years. He previously served as in-house counsel at LaSalle Bank/ABN AMRO and prior to that at BMO Harris. He began his legal career at the Illinois Office of Banks and Real Estate, which is now part of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
In his practice, Fryzel represents banks, credit unions, FinTech companies and other financial institutions in a broad array of issues including core banking services, innovative financial products and FinTech initiatives such as loan programs and payment processing, treasury management services, vendor and client services agreements, and trade services transactions and processing.
Fryzel also advises financial industry clients on regulatory compliance and risk management, including guidance on issues for directors and senior officers, and consumer regulations of the CFPB, OCC, FDIC, and the Federal Reserve.

Fryzel earned a J.D. from the Loyola University School of Law, as well as a B.A. in Accounting from Eureka College.
