Romanucci and Blandin, LLC issued the following announcement on Aug. 15.

Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, a leading personal injury and civil trial practice law firm in Chicago, has proudly appointed Bruno R. Marasso and Bhavani K. Raveendran to Senior Associates. Both attorneys have played significant roles at the firm for a number of years, contributing their time and talent to various cases with favorable and meaningful outcomes.

“We are extremely proud to promote Bruno and Bhavani to Senior Associates,” said Antonio M. Romanucci, Principal and Partner at Romanucci & Blandin. “Their passion and dedication to this firm and their clients is unwavering and will serve them well in this next chapter of their careers.”

Bruno Marasso began his tenure at Romanucci & Blandin in 2008 as a law clerk. Since then he has been an influential part of the firm, practicing in the areas of construction negligence, automobile collisions, wrongful death, premises liability, sexual abuse, and institutional misconduct. Marasso has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of his clients and has also had success reversing judge’s decisions in the First District Appellate Court of Illinois. Bruno is an elected officer of the Justinian Society of Lawyers and was recently elected to serve on the Assembly of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA). He is also an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA), The Chicago Bar Association, and the American Association of Justice (AAJ).

Bhavani Raveendran joined Romanucci & Blandin as an associate attorney in 2015, focusing her practice on police misconduct, prison abuse, hazing, bullying, sexual abuse and wrongful death cases. Raveendran has worked in civil litigation and civil rights for most of her career and is passionate about standing up against violations of her client’s constitutional rights and holding private and government actors accountable. In her time at the firm, she led the Doe v. Main West High School case, which was one of the largest high school hazing settlements in Illinois. She also secured one of the biggest police misconduct settlements in the Western District of Oklahoma. Raveendran is an active member of the ISBA, ITLA, AAJ, and is board member of the South Asian Bar Association Chicago Foundation.

“Bruno and Bhavani have proven themselves to be dedicated legal advocates with the capacity to serve justice for those most in need,” said Stephan D. Blandin, Principal and Partner at Romanucci & Blandin. “We expect nothing but continued success for these fantastic attorneys in the future.”
